It has been nearly two years since friends encouraged me to start a blog, and it will be two years in September since a counselor at a grief support retreat told me to go for it.   I got as far as setting up the account, and then I got no further.   Somehow now seems like the right time.   I am ready to write about my amazing journey with Fritz which started in a print shop when I was a college junior and  ended in a Hospice room on December 1, 2016.    We were together for 55 years.

I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to start writing, but there are many mysteries surrounding the grieving process, and we all deal with it in our own way. Although I knew that writing would be a good outlet for me, I couldn’t seem to get past short Facebook posts and messages to friends.

So here goes!
